Job Title: Accountant – Pastel Implementation

Reports to: Chief Accountant

Computer skills: High proficiency in IT with extensive experience working with accounting systems and spreadsheets. Must have Knowledge and use of PASTEL accounting system.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Preparation and maintenance of the company’s fixed assets registerAssist in drafting of internal budgets and cash flow projectionsPerform day-to-day cash managementLiaise with external auditorsMaintenance and preparation of fixed asset scheduleManagement and supervision of petty cashDebtors and creditors analysisCustodian of the company cheque books and bank documentationPrompt payment of creditorsPerform monthly bank reconciliationPreparation of monthly management accounts and draft of final books of accountsAssist in the implementation of internal controls within financial and administrative circles of the companyTo ensure prompt payment of statutory deductions to the relevant authoritiesDraw up VAT analysis and submission/payment of monthly returnsAssertive, results-oriented with a positive attitude and mature outlook.
Ideal candidate would be a natural forward planner who wants responsibility and accountability.
Well organized, presented and businesslike with fantastic interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people of different backgrounds and cultures.
Good time management skills. Academic level needed: Bachelors Degree in Business and a professional certificate in accounting such as CPA or ACCA

Qualities: Good Communication skills, numerical skills, time management and team player.

Computer skills: High proficiency in IT with extensive experience working with accounting systems and spreadsheets. Knowledge and use of Business ERP in addition to Pastel will be an automatic added advantage.

Professional Experience: 4 years.
