Deloitte Consulting, LLP is seeking a Chief of Party for an upcoming USAID-funded project in support of the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (KEMSA). Building on previous assessments and donor-funded projects, this project will strengthen the performance of KEMSA.

The Chief of Party will provide the overall technical and administrative management and will also provide the overarching vision and direction for the project. The COP ensures collaboration with partners, donors, and stakeholder representatives, building and maintaining productive relationships. Initial and on-going project design and management will include but is not limited to coordinating all staff and ensuring best-practice resource allocation.

Required Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in a relevant field including: business administration, health services management or public administration;
• Previous Chief of Party experience managing a large USAID-funded project, or similar positions of senior leadership with other organizations;
• At least ten years of progressively greater experience/responsibility working with medical logistics and institutional capacity-building in Africa;
• Technical experience in areas related to financial management and medical logistics, including procurement, distribution and customer service, quality assurance, and rational drug use;
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills with the ability to dialogue, network, and collaborate with donor agencies, international institutions, government counterparts and other stakeholders;
• Solid understanding of USAID and other government or donor regulations, procedures, protocols, and reporting requirements;
• Proven ability to build and effectively manage, mentor, and motivate a diverse team;
• English fluency required; Knowledge of Kiswahili would be an asset;
• Prior experience in Kenya
