Financial Controller Job. Adept Management Consultants Kenya.

Position: Financial Controller
Location: Kitwe, Zambia

Responsibilities
* Plan, organize and implement accounting operations and objectives
* Ensure all accounting functions are performed within established budgetary parameters
* Supervise, train and evaluate Accounting staff
* Compile and analyze financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts
* Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted policies and procedures
* Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close reporting.
* Establish and monitor the implementation and maintenance of Accounting control procedures.
* Anticipate and mitigate risk within the organization in conjunction with management.
* Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities.
* Liaise all on statutory matters.
* Develop and maintain financial data bases.
* Prepare and coordinate financial audit.
* Cash flow management.
* Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, providing strategic recommendations and maintaining solutions to business and financial problems.

Requirements
* Bachelors’ Degree in Business or Accounting disciplines
* Professional qualification in CPA (K), ACCA, or CIMA
* At least 3 years experience is a management level position within Finance function
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment is added advantage
* Ability to understand, follow and confer written and oral instructions
* Good presentation skills
* Ability to understand business processes
* Ability to effectively supervise
* Preparation of financial statements and budgets,
* Use of general office software and specialized accounting software,
* Knowledge of Accounting laws, practices and procedures.
* Current knowledge of industry, regulatory and legislative developments affecting financial reporting functions to ensure application to areas of responsibility
* Audit experience is an added advantage
