ICAP Kenya Jobs - Service Delivery Advisor and Program Officers Vacancies

International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP) - Kenya of Columbia University is working with a consortium of partners led by Jhpiego and the Ministries of Health to implement activities in support of the USAID-funded APHIAplus Service Delivery Program in Central and Eastern Provinces.

The APHIAplus Program is designed to contribute substantively to the United States Government (USG) and Government of Kenya goals in HIV and AIDS, TB, Reproductive
Health/Family Planning, malaria and maternal and child health.

Applications are invited for the following positions in the APHIAplus Service Delivery Program in Central and Eastern Provinces.

Service Delivery Advisor

Summary Scope of Work:

The Service Delivery Advisor will be responsible for overseeing the planning, initiation and implementation of adult and pediatric HIV Care and Treatment and TB/HIV collaborative activities at selected sites within the Aphiaplus program.

Location: Embu/Nyeri

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate implementation of HIV care and treatment activitiesCoordinate implementation of TB/HIV collaborative activitiesOversee mentorship and supportive supervision of health care workersSupervision of Program OfficersSupport Monitoring and Evaluation of the programOversee the design and implementation of work plansOversee linkage between facilities service delivery and communityMD preferably with Masters in Public Health (MPH) or similar degree with clinical experience of HIV medicineAt least 5 years experience in HIV program planning, technical assistance and project managementFamiliarity with GOK health programsCapacity to oversee development and implementation of work plans, monitoring and evaluation activities and reportsProgram Officers

Program Officers will plan and perform day-to-day implementation of HIV and care and TB/HIV treatment services at Aphiaplus facilities, in collaboration with the Ministries of Health.

Location: Embu and Nyeri

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and implementation of HIV care and treatment services and TB/HIV activities at supported facilitiesProvide on-going supervision of HIV care and treatment and TB/HIV programsCo-ordinate mentorship of facility staffParticipate in quality assurance/quality improvement of HIV and TB/HIV programsAssist in program monitoring and evaluationPreparation of budgets, work plans, reports and other technical papersPreferably MB ChB. Strong candidates with a Diploma in Medicine will also be consideredAt least three years’ experience in program planningExperience with HIV/AIDS programmingFamiliarity with district-level health care programs in KenyaClinical experience in HIV managementStrong supervisory and management skillsAll applications including a current CV should be sent to:
