The Lutheran World Federation/Department for World Service Kenya/Djibouti Programme is seeking to recruit a Kenyan national for the following position, to be based at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
Secondary school teachers of the following subject combinations
English/literatureBiology/Chemistry or Biology/AgricultureMathematics/Physics or Mathematics/Business StudiesKiswahili/Geography or Kiswahili/HistoryCRE/History or CRE/GeographyA degree in education is the preferred qualification or any other related degree with a post graduate Diploma in Education.Any additional training in the field of Education will be an added advantage.At least 2 years of progressive experience in teaching in a secondary school offering the Kenyan Curriculum.Experience gained within an international humanitarian NGO or in a refugee camp will be an added advantage.High level of motivation, integrity, commitment and professional responsibility.Ability to tolerate cultural, educational and religious diversity in the work placeLWF/DWS is an equal opportunity employer, irrespective of gender, race or religious affiliation.
