Group Technologist
1 Position
Reporting to the Group Technical Manager, the successful candidate will
ensure development of assigned farms technically to deliver consistent quality with necessary certifications,
complete assigned farms Quality assurance visits and write follow up reports,
bring the market requirements closer to the growers and communicate growers’ concern to the market,
Handling and following up on major customer complaints and communicating them to the growers, support growers/markets on all technical issues,
support in pre-production runs of new lines,
checking and signing off specifications and consumables,
communicate with the markets on ethical status of current and potential suppliers,ethical support to the growers and response to all ethical queries,
monitoring vase life of the product and communicating any feedback to the growers and markets,
presenting to the market any new varieties from assigned growers,
ensures continuous improvement in quality of product delivered by Mavuno Group and administration of all specifications and temporary specifications.
The ideal candidates shall have the following minimum qualifications:-
At least a Bachelors Degree in Horticulture or General AgricultureAt least 3 years work experience in production, post harvest operations or FCMCG set upGood understanding of European quality standards e.g. BOPP, FT,MPS standardsExperience in auditing.Good presentation and communication and facilitation skills.Proficiency in Microsoft packages or other technical management information systemsHighly effective planning, organizational and multi-tasking skills with a positive attitudePossess strong leadership and interpersonal skills with ability to train, manage and supervise a multidisciplinary teamA strong team player with good communication, presentation, reporting and facilitation skillsFull ability to communicate cross-culturally and be cross-culturally sensitive.Interested but qualified employees should apply attaching a CV and supporting documents as to be received not later than 21st January, 2011.
