Job Role:
Responsible to the Research and Development Manager for planning, designing, conducting and coordinating research studies and surveys aimed at assessing, evaluating, establishing and developing new policies, systems and strategies that will spur the development and growth of the pensions industry.
Specific duties include conducting and coordinating research in partnership with multi-disciplinary research teams as well as national, regional and international collaborators to develop effective policies, systems and processes aimed at tracking performance and invigorating the pension industry.
Other duties include publishing, packaging and disseminating research finding to promote the development and growth of the pension industry
Key Result Areas:
Undertake Research
Co-ordinate Development of Budget MemorandumLiaise with stakeholders and staff to submit and present policy concerns for the industry for considerationDevelop practice notesParticipate in dissemination of policies to stakeholders through appropriate outletsProduct Development and Innovation
Propose and Participate in the Initiation and development of innovative products and services for the Pension Industry as a wholeParticipate in monitoring the implementation of the ProductParticipate in external stakeholder programmesStrengthen institutional relationships and promote dialogue with service providers through participation in joint research activities, evaluations and sharing of resultsParticipate in acivities and sessions that generate goodwill and advance the mission of RBACultivate a network of strong and lasting parnterships with stakeholders and relevant Government DepartmentsParticipate in identifying, documenting, reviewing and implementing departmental Standard Operating ProceduresParticipate in Internal and External Audit preparation and interviewsParticipate in identifying areas of non conformance and implementing corrective and improvement areasParticipation as an ISO Internal AuditorParticipate in identifying departmental risks and mitigantsPerform general administrative and operations-based tasks as deemed necessary by the Manager, Research and DevelopmentTake initiatives in Manager's absenceSupport other members of the departmentMaster of Arts in Economics + Bachelor of Arts Economics ( First Class Honours)Ideal: CFA part 1 or equivalentExperience: 4 to 6 years
