The Training Officer will design, develop, coordinate and implement learning and professional development activities/ programmes in line with the company’s programmes and plans.

Key Responsibilities
1. Identify training and development needs within the Bank through regular consultation with departmental heads.
2. Design and develop training and development programmes/ calendar based on the organization’s and individual’s needs, with approval of HR Manager.
3. Ensure training calendar is communicated to line managers and staff.
4. Liaise with departmental heads to schedule and deliver training within the branches, with minimal disruption to work.
5. Oversee the delivery of training programs and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes, providers and content.
6. Assist in conducting employee skills evaluation; support and implement the performance appraisal system to establish skills inventory for HR planning and forecasting purposes.
7. Execute induction training and orientation programmes.
8. Maintain accurate and up to date training records and provide regular reports on the progress of training activities.

Requirements
· Bachelors degree in HR/ Social Sciences/ Education or an equivalent
· Diploma in HRM / Personnel Management / Business Management
· Diploma in Banking (AKIB qualification)
· Minimum of 3 years of training experience in a banking institution
· Knowledge and understanding of banking regulations, compliance monitoring, customer relations management, bank product selling skills and business etiquette
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Analytical and problem solving skills required
· Strong leadership and influencing abilities
· Excellent planning, organising and administrative skills
· Willingness to frequently travel
