A client of ours in the FMCG sector is in need of a credit controller.
Reporting to the chief Accountant, the ideal candidate will take charge of developing and implementing effective credit policies and procedures and ensuring these are regularly reviewed to reflect changing business needs and environments.

In addition to this, you will be required to:

* Establish procedures to ensure credit risk is appropriately assessed and controlled
* Manage customer debt collection including the initiation of recovery processes in line with commercial practices and company policy
* Establish and manage commercial arrangements with third parties for the recovery, write off and sell debt portfolios
* Ensure customer bills are accurate, generated and delivered on time
* Manage collection of customer payments and reconcile payments to the invoices
* Prepare credit reports as and when required

Knowledge, skills and experience:

* Degree in Bcom Accounting or a related field
* Professional qualification such as CPA (K) or  ACCA is a must.
* Minimum 2 years working experience, of which at least two years will be in a credit control
* Excellent computing skills/ advanced Excel, presentation and reporting skills
* Candidates with experience in FMCG ( Fast moving consumer goods) industry will have an added advantage
