The position of Technical Sales Consultant (OH&ES) is located at 3M Kenya, a subsidiary responsible for the marketing and sales of a diversified range of products into Sub-Saharan Africa for the global corporation. To continue its growth in the region, the subsidiary has adopted a market focused strategy and is recruiting for this position to give effect to its business objectives. The Technical Sales Consultant (OH&ES) will be responsible for but not limited to the following specific duties:

VISION

a) Develop and organize the overall 3M Occupational and Safety Markets function in order to achieve profitable growth. b) Provide Nigeria Sales & Marketing direction to 3M by working closely with the 3M South Africa Head Offices c) Under the supervision of the West Africa SUPERVISOR drive sales in order to deliver targeted results and increase penetration within the country. d) Act as a catalyst in supporting all activities related to 3M Export and 3M Business units.

This will be accomplished through:

1) Building and maintaining an efficient network of Safety officers and buyers with the industry. 2) Building close relationship and providing support to the 3M Safety division and Marketing team 3) Acting as the 3M ambassador for the 3M within the Industry 4) Management of allocated budgets for activities within Terirtory

RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Responsible for achieving sales targets in Nigeria for Occupationa Health and safety portfolio with a specified teritory 2) Responsible for implementing all divisional programmes and developing new business 3) Responsible for implementing Key Account Management programs within Nigeria. 4) Responsible for collecting and sharing competitive data . 5) Responsible for co-coordinating and launching relevant marketing programs into Nigeria 6) Responsible for implementing 3M agreed pricing strategies within Nigeria

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE , EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously - Minimum of 3 years sales experience. - Marketing and administrative experience. - Experience or contacts within Occupational and Safety markets are vita and highly valued - Some Technical degree with basic export experience - Business and sales developments will require ability for regular traveling to the several regions - Age: around 30+ years old

SKILLS - Oral and written business communication skills (English ) - Organizing and planning skills, time management - Inter personal & problem solving skills. - Computer skills is critical

KNOWLEDGE - Export market understanding - Sales & Marketing knowledge - Marketing analysis - Distribution & channel management - Market & competitors intelligence
