We are seeking to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assistant.

Job Title: Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant

Directorate: Programme Management Unit

Unit: Monitoring & Evaluation

Physical Location: AMREF Headquarters

Main Purpose of Job

To provide support to the M&E unit by ensuring effective coordination, planning, reporting and communication at the corporate, Regional, country and/or programme and project levels.

Reporting Relationships

Reports to: Corporate M&E Leader

Key Responsibilities & Main Tasks

Monitoring & Evaluation

Assisting in preparation of M&E tools, reports and other documentationReviewing M&E documents and providing summaries for discussionAssisting in data entry, collection, management and analysis on project and programme resultsTabulating data and engaging in additional analysisReport writing on routine M&E activitiesProviding support in executing M&E functionsProviding support during workshops, trainings and seminarsParticipating in trainings, seminars and workshops as necessaryRequired Qualifications

Education and knowledge

Bachelors degree in Public Health, Evaluation, International Development, Social Sciences, Statistics or other related field;Basic M&E concepts and toolsDatabase managementStatistical softwareAt least 3 years experience workingPractice with log-frame developmentProject and programme monitoring and evaluationParticipatory development of indicatorsAttention to detail and facility with numeric dataAbility to work in multi-cultural teamsExcellent communications skillsAnalytical skillsVisit the AMREF vacancies website here to view the job specifications and application process.
