Export Promotion Council (EPC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives.
The primary mandate of the Council is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services.
Exports are the primary driver of our national economy and the Council wishes to strengthen and enhance delivery of this mandate by recruiting a high calibre, results oriented, experienced and skilled professional for the following position:
Trade Information & Business Services Officer

Terms of Employment: Permanent
Job Description: The role of this position is to assist in business advisory duties and in the development of exports and stakeholder information sharing and providing quality, accurate and timely trade information to the business community.
Roles for the Trade Information Officers Job
- Providing business counseling services to business community;
- Data mining for relevant business information databases
- Assisting in the dissemination of accurate, up-to-date and relevant trade information to the business community;
- Assisting in development of appropriate trade information products and services at the Council.
- Maintaining high quality standards in customer delivery
- Assisting in preparing the Kenya Export Directory and trade information publications (e.g. brochures, bulletins, leaflets, newsletter) and design appropriate dissemination mechanisms.
- Assisting in the maintainance of a comprehensive database of clients for targeted dissemination of specific information to identified users
- Assisting in the organisation of trade information seminars for the business community to raise awareness on specific trade related topics.
Trade Information Officers Job Requirements
For appointment to this grade a candidate must have:-
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Commerce, Business Management/Administration, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in Computer applications.
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution

- Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
- Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
- Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
- Directorate of Criminal Investigations Department (DCI)
- Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA)
