The County Public Service Board of Tana River in collaboration with the department of Health and Sanitation pursuant to section 66 of the County Government Act of 2012 wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in the County Public Service:
Terms of service: All positions shall be on Permanent and pensionable terms of service.
Remuneration: As prescribed by Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
J/G ‘G’ (8 Posts)
Requirements
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education;
- Certificate in any of the following disciplines: Community Health, Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or Community Development from a recognized institution; and
- Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
Responsibilities
- Visiting homes to determine health situations and dialogue with household members;
- Identifying and sensitizing communities on health interventions;
- Identifying common ailments and minor injuries at community level;
- Collecting health data at household level for analysis;
- Distribution of Information Education Communication materials, mosquito nets and other commodities to households;
- Identifying defaulters of health interventions and other health cases and referring them to health facilities;
- Maintaining and updating health data using health registers; and
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned from time to time.
