Main purpose of the Job:
- To plan, develop, assess, survey and analyse management systems and processes; review individual and organizational performance management and provide performance coaching, to achieve high functioning individuals and groups within EAC.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Facilitate a review and conduct an Organizational Audit to inform on EAC’s Organizational needs for growth and effectiveness;
- Conduct assessments and review EAC’s management systems and processes and develop interventions and strategies to determine measures required to enhance employee and organizational performance and leadership effectiveness;
- Facilitate the process of conducting job analysis and development of standardized and numbered Job descriptions across the EAC Organs and institutions;
- Review existing performance monitoring tools, systems and processes and facilitate implementation and adoption of performance management culture;
- Examine the prevailing succession management systems and develop proposals for an appropriate succession plan for the EAC;
- Facilitate the process of Competency mapping for all Cadres of Staff within EAC;
- Design, Develop and facilitate implementation of in-house leadership development programs;
- Review internal administrative decision Making processes, make recommendations and provide feedback on implementation;
- Develop internal organizational conflict resolution and team building Strategies for EAC Organs and Institutions;
- Perform any other special organizational development projects as assigned by Management.
Minimum qualifications and experience:
- Master's degree in organizational/industrial psychology, business, Human Resources, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized University;
- Diploma HR Management or equivalent certifications,
- 7 years experience with three years direct engagement in Organizational Development and management in a busy environment.
The ideal candidate should have good leadership, Strong interpersonal/human relations, planning, verbal and written communication, negotiation, counseling and report writing skills.
S/He must demonstrate Knowledge of leadership/management/organizational development, assessment protocols, change management strategies, and processes; have the ability to work within a team, think and operate strategically, prepare and deliver programs and lectures, facilitate diverse client groups, maintain high level of confidentiality, ability to arbitrate and prove proficiency in computer application, including operating various software programs.
Terms and Conditions of Service
These positions are DFID funded, and are non established positions whose contract terms are limited to the period of support, and may only be renewed subject to extension of the funding.
Attractive consolidated remuneration packages for non-established fixed contract positions will be paid in accordance with the EAC regulations on short term Staff contracts.
