Export Promotion Council (EPC) is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Co-operatives.

The primary mandate of the Council is to develop and promote export of Kenya’s goods and services.

Exports

are the primary driver of our national economy and the Council wishes

to strengthen and enhance delivery of this mandate by recruiting a high

calibre, results oriented, experienced and skilled professional for the

EPC Grade 6
 

Terms of Employment: Permanent
 

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under direct supervision of a senior officer.
 

Job Description
 

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

1. preparing draft audit test procedures, draft notifications and request for information Memos.


2. carrying out audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration and operational procedures;


3. ensuring that the audit working and paper files are complete and well referenced. reviewing prepared audit test procedures, drafts notifications and request for information Memos;


4. carrying out audit tests on internal controls in accounting, administration and operational procedures;


5. preparing draft audit reports;


6. preparing draft risk based audit plans, programmes and schedules; and


7. examining and evaluating the Council’s internal controls to ascertain their adequacy and make recommendations for improvement

Appointment Specifications
 

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or other relevant and equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.


2. Certified Public Accountant Part II or ACCA. Proficiency in Computer applications.


3. Proficiency in computer applications


4. Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
