Our Client, a well established and internationally affiliated Training Institute is seeking to recruit a Head of Training & Development with exceptional skills & experience in the areas of – Strategic Thinking & Business Direction, Planning, Execution, Organization, Presentation, Negotiation, Sales, Communication and People Management & Development.
Purpose of Role
To deliver business support and performance by self and the Training team through the development and implementation of effective training programs, powerful leadership, team development and operational efficiency.
The Ideal Candidate will have:
Leadership: (Weighting: 15%)
Ensure that the Organization’s facilitation resource pool is adequately equipped through the recruitment of professional and experienced personnelEnsure proper resource planning for current and future projects/assignments including but not limited to Training support team, facilitators, materials, equipment and training facilities.Ensure delivery of memorable training sessions by doing: Advance preparation of training packs, materials & equipment; Prior briefing &preparation of facilitators; advance visiting of new training venues; ensure ‘success stories’ are done for all long-term programs; continuously review the graduation process and add any grandeurImplement prudent planning measures for all resource management & institute replenishment thresholds.Formulate and perform necessary information analysis aimed at improving performance, enhancing service delivery and customer serviceHarness existing and create new competencies in order to achieve competitive advantageConducting market intelligence of relevant industry forces impacting on the business and developing requisite pro-active and response mechanisms.People Management: (Weighting: 25%)
Provide monthly training and facilitator schedules one month in advance for all countriesAttend at least 2 full training sessions facilitated by each of the facilitators every month.Provide prompt facilitator evaluation feedback after each training session to ensure improvement.Hold facilitator re-certification and debrief sessions on a quarterly basisHave and maintain good rapport with all suppliersPlan for team energizing sessions for the training team and facilitatorsBusiness Development: (Weighting: 10%)
Continuously review program content to ensure relevance and competitivenessReview all training cost contributors with a view of achieving cost effectiveness at the best valueContinuously assess new revenue avenues through the departmentCustomer Service and Support: (Weighting: 20%)
Promptly perform thorough review of all call memos & request for clarifications within the same day.Accompany BDMs to calls on a need basis to provide requisite supportPerform periodic product briefing sessions for all BDMs Provide proposals and other forms of responses within the set timelines.Provide evaluations analysis to respective to respective BDMs for in-house sessionsRemuneration: Gross of Kshs. 135,000 – 200,000 – dependent on level of relevant experience - plus benefits.
