Regulatory Affairs Manager, East Africa

Accountabilities

Ensure alignment with national and global regulatory developmentsIdentify and isolate the potential impact of regulatory risks to the businessEnsure business compliance with government policy and lawsParticipate in development of Policy and regulations at an external or legislative levelStakeholder managementInteract with industry bodies at country, regional and international levelAdvise the management of the company of, and mitigate, risks to the business arising from external factors, such as government policy, legislation and/ or regulationApply for requisite licenses or authorisations from relevant authorities and negotiate for favourable termsMonitor and advice on developments in competition law.Law Degree.Minimum two years post-admission experienceKnowledge in Africa regulatory frameworkKnowledge of broadcasting policiesInternational regulatory philosophies and precedentsInterpretation and law/StudiesNegotiation skillsleadership skillsInterpersonal skills / building & maintaining relationshipsEffective communication skillsAbility to manage changeStrategic thinkingInnovation skillsAbility to analyse and respond quicklyAnalytical thinking skillsBusiness awarenessSound judgmentTeam playerFlexibilityDecisivenessDriveInitiativePersuasivenessBachelor of laws degree from a recognized University.Are you Interested In this dynamic and challenging position?
