Davis and Shirtliff Assistant Software Developer Job in Kenya

The Davis & Shirtliff Group is the leading supplier  of water and energy solutions in the region. The group operates in Kenya, Uganda Tanzania, Zambia Rwanda and South Sudan. 

The company has a total complement of over 500 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region. Davis and Shirtliff runs an ERP system on Microsoft Dynamics NAV version 2013. 

We are looking for a qualified and talented ICT professionals to fill in the following position:-

Assistant Software Developer

 

Reporting to the ICT Manager, the key roles for this position are:

• Solutions design, customization, implementation, upgrades and maintenance of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system as well as other software systems in use by the company, in line with approved user requirements and various business units’ needs.


• Perform  routine database maintenance and other business continuity procedures.


• Perform routine end-user support and training on key business systems.


• Perform any other ICT related tasks as may be directed by management from time to time.

The successful Candidates should have the following attributes:-

• Holder of Upper 2nd class honours in Computer Science or closely related field from a recognized university.


• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV systems development and implementation in a busy environment.


• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 ERP and later versions.


• Possession of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP Developer and Product Specialist Certifications.


• Knowledge of fourth generation programming languages, preferably C/AL, Visual Basic, VB.Net., C++, C#.


• Knowledge of database design, implementation and maintenance; experience with Microsoft SQL Database Server an added advantage.


• Possession of any recognized certification and hands on experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Intranet and Helpdesk solutions will be an added advantage.
