Fortress Limited is a credit only microfinance institution (COMFI) in Kenya. Fortress offers customer centric financial and non-financial solutions to economically active members of the society with the aim of enabling them to achieve their dreams. This role is to help Fortress Lenders Ltd to achieve its mission and vision by ensuring that it engages with the right kinds of investors for purposes of capital accumulation.
Duties & responsibilities
- Support the development of Fortress Lenders Ltd strategy in the area of investor relationship management to ensure that it is managed with a long term perspective.
- Lead on the design and implementation of effective advocacy strategies and methods for strategic targeting of existing and prospect investors.
- Research, identify, cultivate and manage existing, potential investors in a bid to ensure that Fortress Lenders Ltd pool of capital is fit for purpose.
- Work with the Communications Unit, to maintain and improve relations and communications between the organization and the investing public.
- Support senior management and other staff with research and information requested for their reports and presentations.
- Work with other functions in the organization in ensuring that all company communications to investors are integrated and consistent.
- Develop and maintain the Investor Relations section of Fortress Lenders Ltd external website.
- Develop Investor Relations functions including expanding and managing investor targeting and tracking systems.
- Develop and maintain systems that provide control of investor interactions and improve the marketability of the organization.
- Provide regular feedback to management and other stakeholders on investment community perceptions of the organization, concerns, and investment criteria.
Key Qualifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
- At-least 2 years’ experience in a relevant Field
- Relevant working experience in providing investment or consulting services to businesses.
- Openness to learning the automation process of data analysis and related development of back-end technology for the same
- Strong report writing skills that are adaptable for a variety of audiences. Evidence of these skills are an added advantage.
- Interest in data analytics, business strategy, and investment research.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and/or SQL.
- Strong, pro-active communication skills.
- Displays a high level of energy and personal commitment to teamwork.
- Able to take on tasks outside of academic specialties.
- Strong analytic and quantitative skills.
- Passionate about solving problems, creating impact, and thinking innovatively and creatively to deliver value in their work
