HR Manager Primary Responsibilities
HR Routine
ü Maintain daily liaison with Administration over establishment strengths to ensure operating levels remain correct and a sufficient pool of trained staff are on standby.
ü Administer disciplinary hearings in compliance to company protocols.
ü Clear employees for duty following a break of absence.
ü Calculate staff terminal benefits and submit to accounts.
ü Maintain Staff files.
ü Ensure all newly employed personnel have correct documents, open files, issue contracts and employment numbers before employment.
ü Submit requests to the director for production of staff Identity Cards.
ü Issue new and replacement ID cards to staff.
ü Provide guidance and counseling to staff following disciplinary hearings.
ü Track staff records and listings on company software.
Human Resource Management Functions
ü Initiate recruitment of staff when staff levels decline below minimum operating level.
ü Perform staff interviews and select candidates for training.
ü Manage staff employment status. Vis a vis contract renewals.
ü Carry out staff appraisals and summarily report findings to company directors.
ü Identify employees with additional skills and maintain a database of those employees.
ü Maintain a supplementary leave database for all employees as they go on leave for annual comparison
ü Clear terminated staff within 3 days of date of termination
ü Produce certificates of service
ü Maintain records of archived files of former employees for vetting and reference purposes
ü Carry out a vetting programme of all newly employed personnel
ü Liaise with Finance over staff insurance matters
ü Ensure proper records and case files are maintained for medical/accident incidences, including liaising with medical institutions and staff for status updates.
Corporate Affaires
ü Represent the company on all dispute resolution matters with labor, courts and lawyers.
ü Maintain a record data base of disciplinary cases year on year with the purpose of advising directors of training material defects and assessing overall performance of staff by areas.
ü Advise Directors on legal matters pertaining to Employment.
ü Advise Directors on matters of Occupational health and safety
ü Oversee the smooth daily operations of company affairs in consultation with other Managers in the absence of the Directors.
