Job Summary
Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in the setup and strategy for pharmacy operations in our first maternityOversee the use of medicines within our facility, in both in and outpatient settings Oversee sales of prescribed medicine s to our clients and potentially to external customersMaintain detailed, meticulous records of all use of medicines, especially of controlled substancesDesign internal and external safeguards regarding storage and dispensing of pharmacy productsThe desired candidate should possess the following:Hold a diploma or degree in pharmacy from a recognized university/collegeHold an active pharmaceutical technologist license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board At least 6 years’ pharmacy experience following receipt of diploma/degree Excellent analytical reasoning skills and meticulous attention to detailComputer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteA strong preference will be given to candidates with experience setting up new pharmacies, and/or operating pharmacies in low-income communitiesAbility to work effectively with a team in a culturally diverse environmentA good understanding of community dynamics.
