Technical Manager Job in Kenya

Our client, a Business Strategy Consultancy is in need of a Technical Manager.
 

Position Profile: The Technical Manager will work closely with the in-house software development team and business stakeholders, as well as 3rd party development consultants.

The position requires strong business skills and would be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and requirements. 

The incumbent will also act as a liaison between business stakeholders and 3rd party software developers and consultants.
 

 

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in the strategic management of the Group’s information technology, information management systems and infrastructure and alignment of business to technology in order to provide operational and strategic support for sustainable continuity of the business.


• Lead the system design and functional specifications for all new products.


• Ensure high level system administration, maintenance and security of core IT infrastructure


• Participate in IT project steering committees and be involved in the design phase of any new IT software development projects.


• Coordinate and guide the development of products in liaison with all stakeholders including 3rd party software developers and consultants.


• Oversee the communication between business and technical teams by translating business needs into technical requirements.


• Serve as a liaison and facilitator between all business units to assist in addressing and resolving application/system issues.


• Present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.


• Assist with the development of full scale project plans and schedule project timelines, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project to all stakeholders.

Deliverables/KPIs:

• Delivery of working software by inhouse and outsourced software developers.


• Translation of business requirements into technical requirements.


• Tech infrastructure security and integrity


• Release schedule/project plans.


• Supporting business and technical documentation.
