Kenya AIDS NGOs Consortium (KANCO) is a national membership network of organization with over 1000 Non-Governmental Organization (NGOs), Community Based Organization (CBOs), Faith Based Organization (FBOs), Private Sector, Research and Learning Institutions responding to HIV & AIDS and TB in Kenya.

Role:
The Regional coordinator will oversee, lead and manage the field operations of the regional office in Central province office. He/she will be responsible for maintaining relationships with the various stakeholders, monitoring, and ensuring achievement of overall project objectives.
The Regional coordinator will also provide technical assistance by way of backstopping relevant projects/programmes at the KANCO office in Central.
Major duties and responsibilities:
Responsible for the Mombasa regional resource centreCoordinate, monitor and evaluate the progress and performance of regional programmes/ projects to ensure acceptable performance standardPrepare budgets for regional programmes under the direction and approval of supervisorRecruitment of KANCO members at regional level.Liaise with other KANCO departments in providing services to the communityAcquire and distribute HIV/AIDS information materialsDevelop and maintain computer databases for the regional officePopularise computer based systems at the regional level (e.g. email, internet and use of ICTs)Respond to KANCO member’s inquiriesResource centre fund mobilization for support to centre continuity/ activitiesContribution to monitoring and evaluationPreparation of regular progress reportsPerforms any other duties that may be assigned by the supervisor.Education: Bachelor degree in Social Sciences or Information StudiesExperience: Not less than 5 years’ experience in a similar positionKnowledge: Communication; Library and Information Studies; IT training; Project managementCritical Success factors:
