Our client is a regional logistics provider specialist, with its core expertise being transportation of Bulk petroleum products. They are seeking a Spare Parts Store Assistant with at least 3 years experience dealing with spare parts.
Spare Parts Store Assistant Job Responsibilities
- In consultation workshop and store manager ensure that all spares, lubricants& tyres required are set above the re-order levels to ensure constant availability.
- During purchase ensure due process is followed in preparation & follow up approval of LPOs.
- Daily stocktake to ensure tallies of stock card to physical stock and present the report daily.
- Receive & inspect goods procured and ensure documents involved are posted/updated accordingly.
- Submit invoices to accounts on items received daily.
- Ensure spare requested by work shop is dispensed in time against properly authorized requisition.
- Ensure that goods in stores are properly shelved & stock card updated for those received/issued.
- Conduct tools and equipment audit daily and ensure they are in good condition.
- Ensure the store is kept clean, tidy and well arranged.
- Review& analyze spares utilization and present reports to the store/procurement manager.
- Assist the procurement manager to review and update the list of supplies periodically.
- Prepare petty cash reports for stores cash purchase to be submitted to finance for reimbursement.
- Carry out vfl audit.
- Responsible for reporting all incidents/accidents noted within and outside the Organization.
- Responsibility of being a safety ambassador to ensure we all work safely and always be on the lookout for any unsafe acts or behavior.
Qualifications for the Spare Parts Store Assistant Job
- Undergraduate degree in any business related field,
- Diploma from Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supplies (CIPS) or equivalent certification.
- Member of KISM
- At least 3 years’ experience in dealing with spare parts.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to coordinate, prioritize and organize workload
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision.
- Excellent project management skills
- Customer service oriented
- Strong negotiation skills
