When most CV writers are writing about their achievements, they list them in a chronological manner. While this may appear neat, the employer may not have the time to go through all the achievements.
Mostly, employers and recruitment agents have hundreds of CVs to go through. Since they can’t read every last detail, they just scheme over the most relevant information.
Armed with this information, you should be able to list your achievements in the most efficient manner. Start from the most impressive achievements and work your way down.
Technique #3: Be detailed
When you send your CV, you want to sell your strongest points. Since your achievements highlight your successes, you should dwell on them and give as much detailed information as professionally possible.
For example, if you have served in a managerial position, don’t simply say you held a managerial position. Go into details and mention how many people you managed. Managing two people will elicit a different reaction from managing twenty.
Technique #4: Don’t be afraid to boast
When writing a CV, most people observe modesty. However, when it comes to your achievements, you should brag about them.
If you have surpassed your goals at work, you should feel free to say so –and then back it up with facts and references.
