Job Vacancy: Pharmaceutical Technologist

Job Purpose: We are looking for a Pharmaceutical Technologist who can thrive in a fast-paced business environment.

The job holder will be responsible for ensuring accurate dispensing, patient counselling and proper handling of pharmaceutical supplies for all orders.

Job Description

1. Dispensing drugs

2. Monitoring and refilling drugs on the shelves once they are over and also aid in procurement.

3. Generates revenues by calculating, recording, and issuing charges as well as issuing sale receipts.

4. Handling prescriptions from the receiving to the dispensing and medication counselling/advising for non-prescription drugs

5. Arranging the drugs once a consignment is delivered.

6. Conduct weekly stock counts and monitor storage condition and checking of expiries.

7. Answer customers through phone calls be it orders placed or enquiries and also maintain good relationship with customer and other related institution.

8. Train and supervise pharmaceutical technologist interns.

9. Maintains a safe and clean environment e.g., cleans the floors and damp dust the shelves.

10. Any other duty assigned by the Branch Manager/Senior management.

Qualifications

1. Diploma in pharmacy from a recognized institution.

2. Registered with the pharmacy and poisons board or relevant body i.e PPB.

3. At least 2 years of working experience in a similar position.
