RTI International is seeking strongly qualified candidates for the following senior positions in the health management information systems (HIS) sector to support an anticipated USAID-funded project in Kenya. Job offers will be extended contingent upon available and approved funding.
1. Chief of Party (COP)
Provide overall management, administrative, financial, and technical leadership and direction to the project.
Successfully collaborate and effectively communicate with key stakeholders and partners, including government officials and health facility personnel. Meet all contractual obligations in close coordination with the client and RTI Home Office, meeting if not exceeding quality expectations.
2. ICT/HMIS Advisor
Provide technical input and oversight to the integration and use of data management information systems (e.g., HMIS, DHIS, EMR) and tools to facilitate data entry, transmission, and use. Key to success will be building the capacity among information systems users at the national, provincial and district levels of government and health facility personnel.
3. Public Health Data Advisor
Provide technical input and oversight to strengthen health data quality, data use, and data dissemination.
Develop the capacity of in-country public health personnel (government officials, health facility personnel, other health information systems users) to provide quality data and analyze information for programmatic and policy development.
Improve and develop methods and systems for information use and dissemination.
Additional positions may be sought for: Finance, Monitoring and evaluation (M&E), Health Information Systems (HIS), Public health data quality and analysis, and/or training and capacity-building.
Desired Qualifications:
* Qualified candidates will have a higher degree in health, ICT, social sciences, business or a related field.
* S/he will have significant experience working in the health and/or ICT sector.
* S/he will have demonstrated experience interacting successfully with stakeholders, notably government officials and health facility personnel.
* Experience working with international donor-funded projects preferred.
