Kenya Center of Exellence (CoE) supports the following countries in Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, and Senegal.Ø Leading Accounting & Reporting for a number of GE Businesses in various countries
Ø Conduct accounting activities on day-to-day basis, and during monthly / quarterly / yearly closing
Ø Work closely with GE businesses Operations and Finance teams to ensure Controllership, Compliance and Operational excellence
Ø Monthly/ Quarterly Acc Reconciliations
Ø Analyze, book, Pay and reconcile T&L (Travel and Living)
Ø Analyze, book, Pay and reconcile AP (Accounts Payables)
Ø Prepare and process monthly Payroll and employees benefits
Ø Perform Reconciliation: (Balance Sheet, Banks, Suppliers,)
Ø Preparing yearly budgets/planning/pricing, and conduct variance and productivity analysis to monitor and control any deviation
Ø Analyze financial transactions, determine accuracy, insure completeness and compliance to established policies & procedures and GAAP
Ø Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Ø Responsible for all aspects & concepts of accounting
Ø Ensure the smooth operations of the accounting processes; treasury, GL, AR, AP, Payroll, T&L, closing and reporting etc.
* Support and participate in all accounting activities during the monthly/quarterly close, including the preparation of account reconciliations.
Ø Lead in the monthly/quarterly reporting process to HQ and the biz units.
Ø Drive continuous process improvement in the accounting processes in the Center, including key controllership projects.
Ø Analyze financial transactions, determine accuracy, completeness and conformance to established policies and procedures and generally accepted accounting standards
Ø Account Receivables and Account Payables aging report feed to HQ's and collection and payables department
Ø Organizes and plans auditing schedules.
Ø Develops policy and procedure manuals for accounting departmentØ Bachelor’s degree, major in accounting.
Ø Minimum 4 years relevant experience.
Ø Solid communication, organization and documentation skills.
Ø Strong interpersonal/teamwork skills.
Ø Solid computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Ø Having project management & coaching experience would be an asset.
