Implement adequate software system security for AMREF South Sudan client/server environment and monitor access to the infrastructure and services.Manage the e-mail system from the user desktop to ensure that it is reliable .Understand and resolve basic mail server problems and communicate complex ones through the escalation process.Installation of ICT equipments like computers, network printers, PABX phones and Radio equipments.Supervise equipment Preventive maintenance and carry out regular evaluation of current hardware/software in order to provide a timely replacement schedule or upgrade.Ensure that all soft ware and hard ware installed are standard, where possible .This is done through use of the standard AMREF desktop and laptop images.Responsible for installation, configuration and maintence of wireless LAN networks test and configure all new equipments, particularly notebooks, desktops and servers to ensure compatibility with AMREF requirements and standards.Provide first line software support to all staff.Carry out the Micro software design and installation and compatibility of VSAT and LAN/WAN installation and their maintenceDevelop and coordinate the production of Technical Training material in basic computer studies and provide training to staff and students of NHTI and other field offices.Provide first level technical support and trouble shooting for installed servers, including implementation of disaster recovery plans and prepare standard procedures for monitoring servers and ensure that they are fully operational to hardware, software maintence & updates.Update daily inventory of all IT equipments in the office.Provide daily support to users by resolving minor technical problems and offering training on those recently recruited.Perform scheduled maintence for installed ICT equipments.Identify and implement information management practices that enhance the client base network and services like DHCP, DNS, NAT and active Directory system.Perform any other duties as required.Required skills areas /Qualifications Ability to travel and work in remote areas inside South Sudan with limited facilities and difficult working conditions.Ability to work long hours when required.Ability to work in a team environmentCompetence and skills n all IT and communication equipments maintence and services.Knowledge on NGO regulations, rules, policies, procedures& practices.Bachelor of Science in Information Technology /Computer software and hardware.Experience in the same position is an asset.This position is open to only South Sudanese nationals Please send your application letter and CV along with copies of your necessary credentials to HRA AMREF South Sudan at southsudan.recruit@amref.org or monicahbako@gmail.com
