Position: Human Resource Officer
Duties and Responsibilities
- Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select best applicants ensuring appropriate matches between personnel.
- Staff induction and ensuring the induction form is filled in by new staffs appropriately.
- Employee development and Training, Liaise with head of departments during training
- Staff appraisal, Performance monitoring and documentation for all staff.
- Issuance of employee contracts and renewal of probation and annual contracts.
- Handling all NHIF, NSSF, PAYE
- Implementing of Human Resource Policy manuals and Procedures
- Staff attendance monitoring, follow up and reporting on absentees.
- Overseeing shift change over supervision.
- Creating and monitoring shift and leave schedules for employees.
- Conducting exit interviews
- Offering various HR services including advice, counseling, mentoring and coaching.
- Administering safety and recreation programs.
- Drafting correspondences relevant to the Human Resource Department
- Administering safety and recreation programs.
- Personnel Filing and record keeping.
Qualifications
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent
- One year HR experience preferably in Manufacturing Industry
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Familiarity with Kenya labor laws
