Responsible for making sure customer orders reach their destinations safely, securely and on time
Dispatch Officer Job Responsibilities
- Organize transportation of customer orders;
- Manage information accrued from MEDS to delivery points for accountability;
- Coordinate and track movement of customer orders through logistical pathways;
- Maintain quality throughout the logistics process;
- Supervise, coach and train Dispatch Assistants;
- Resolve any arising problems or customer complaints;
- Prepare accurate reports for decision making;
- Verify transporters invoices for payment approval;
- Update transporters performance records for decision making;
Requirements for the Dispatch Officer Job
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain;
- At least 3 years proven experience in Logistics;
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff;
- The successful candidate must also possess excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, organization skills and understanding of transportation issues
