Software Developer Job Description


TapInAfrica is a company that believes in amazingly talented men and women of Africa! Founded in Canada and is looking to recruit a Software Developer. We are looking for detail-oriented and enthusiastic talented professionals to join our new team in East Africa. Front-end, Backend, JavaScript, Java, ASP.Net, C#, Python developers.


Key Duties & Responsibilities



  • Work with developers to design algorithms and flowcharts

  • Produce clean, efficient code based on specifications

  • Integrate software components and third-party programs

  • Verify and deploy programs and systems

  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing software

  • Gather and evaluate user feedback

  • Recommend and execute improvements 

  • Modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces.

  • Directing system testing and validation procedures.

  • Directing software programming and documentation development.


Key Skills and Qualifications


Experience required:



  • Excellent spoken and written English is a must

  • Problem-Solving Capabilities

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively

  • Past Experience / Portfolio Projects 

  • Knowledge of Full-Cycle Software development 

  • The desire to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to develop unit testing of code components or complete applications.

  • Creativity is always a plus.


Qualifications required:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience.

  • Experience working on a variety of software development projects.

  • Must be a full-stack developer and understand concepts of software engineering.
