Job description


Key Responsibilities


  • Co-ordinate and supervise sales of all line of Business products (through cross selling activities);

  • Overall responsible for branch profitability ;

  • Manage and supervise the branch operations and staff and ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to;

  • Meet the various revenue targets for all product lines as agreed with the businesses;

  • Manage franchise and maintain excellent relations with independent Agents, Financial Advisors, brokers and other channels within their territory;

  • Ensure branch can serve clients of all lines of business and provide excellent customer service to existing customers and prospective clients;

  • Recruit and develop Financial Advisors, Unit Managers, and train various intermediaries to pursue sales of all line of business products;

  • Ensure each branch can serve clients of all Line of Businesses i.e. branch has cross functional operations and customer service capabilities

  • Gather marketing intelligence statistics to facilitate development of strategies to give the company a competitive advantage;

  • Responsible for ensure proper credit control management in the branch; and

  • General management and administration of the branch office.

Knowledge, Experience And Qualifications Required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related degree. Masters’ degree is an added advantage.

  • 2.5-7 years’ experience in a similar position; 2-3 of which should be in a managerial capacity.

  • Professional qualification in Insurance (ACII, FLMI or AIIK).

Job purpose


The role holder will be responsible for developing and implementing the business units marketing strategy and marketing plans. The role will report to the Group marketing Manager and the business unit CEO.


Key Responsibilities


  • Develop, implement and update Marketing Strategy for the Business Unit in line with the corporate marketing strategy.

  • Develop, implement and review annually the Business Unit Marketing plan.

  • Lead market research efforts to identify the gaps and viability of current and/ or existing products and services.

  • Design and implement tactical marketing campaigns on all platforms at the Business Unit.

  • Develop and manage the Business Marketing budget.

  • Lead in the creation and production of all marketing collateral such as brochures, profiles, reports, merchandise and advertising in line BU marketing plan.

  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.

  • Monitor and evaluate on effectiveness of marketing campaigns and communications.

  • Develop creative, media and PR briefs.

  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives.

  • Identify potential and support strategic partner relationships for Business Unit marketing

  • Monitor trends and opportunities in existing and potential markets and categories and make recommendations

  • Ensure content being uploaded and published on all platforms meets the brand consistency guidelines

  • Manage and coordinate all events at the Business Unit level

  • Coordinate new product development and manage the product life cycle in the Business Unit

  • Act as the Marketing champion at the BU level to oversee signage and branding in all our branches

  • Monitor competitor activity on Digital, print, electronic platforms and advise business.
