Head of Sales & Marketing
Department: Sales & Marketing
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director
Targets and maximizes profitable sales while promoting sustainable business relationships with customers.
Develop and implement the sales and marketing strategy and budget based on the organization’s objectives as outlined in its strategic plan. This will include effective budget management.
Develop and implement an effective marketing communication strategy that ensures that both current and potential customers are kept informed of the company client.
Prepare the market for new product introductions and a smooth roll out of such new products while sustaining profitable sales of the old products.
Set and drive the implementation of high quality customer care standards so as to help develop/maintain the company's image in the market as a supplier of first class products and service and maintain first class relationships with customers.
Actively seek marketing data through formal and informal research, feedback from the sales team, etc to support the planned sales and marketing activities; where and when necessary review planned activities to ensure they are well focused to achieve the highest impact.
Using market data and continually review the company product offering to ensure that it remains relevant.
Maintain close liaison and on-going communication with the Head of Procurement and Logistics so as to ensure that customers supply requirements are met.
Set performance targets for the divisional teams and guide and support them in the development and implementation of their activity plans aimed at achieving the said targets.
Take charge of the effective management of the sales and marketing team; this will include involvement in their recruitment, training & development, performance management and discipline.
Prepare the required periodic management and activity reports including income, trends, divisional and territory performance, etc
Academic Qualifications:
Business degree (BComm marketing preferred)
Professional Qualifications
Professional marketing and or sales qualification such as CIM
Levels of Experience
- 5 years experience in an active marketing environment
Age -33 yrs and above
