AKF East Africa invites applications for this senior position based at its Regional Office in Nairobi.

Regional Finance Manager

The position will report to the Regional Chief Operating Officer and will provide strategic leadership and ensure effective development of financial processes and procedures as well as implementation of sound internal controls, budgeting, financial management and reporting.

Key duties and responsibilities:

Lead and manage the regional finance team in accomplishing strategic objectivesDevelop, strengthen and implement systems and procedures that enhance efficiency, effectiveness and accountabilityEnsure high quality management reports, budgets and analysisEnsure policies and procedures in financial management, grant management; and donor complianceMonitor and track budgetary allocations and expenditures from various donorsLead and provide support to country offices and programmesConsolidate programme funding requests, projections and treasury management across the regionManage internal, external and donor financial auditsEnsure submission of accurate quality reports to external donorsQualifications & Competencies required:

Applicants for this key role should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent and professional accounting qualification.

The applicant should have 10 years of relevant experience, good communication skills, strong analytical skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

This position entails travelling locally and regionally.
