NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Reporting to the Executive Director

Duties and Responsibilities The development and introduction of new products or enhancing of existing products. Participates in evaluating results and developing alternative approaches when plans are not achieving objectivesTo conduct market and competitive analysis, balancing competitive pricing with profitability and recommending courses of action to take advantage of market opportunities.Actively monitor the environment and quarterly develop insurance products including e-products to meet the needs of the insuring market.Participating in development and implementation of speciality product plans to meet annual premium and profit goalsPreparing reports on forecasting and performance results of product plans. Communicating results with Managing Director/Executive Director and other members of Management Board as requestedTo continuously evaluate the changing trends in customer expectations and design and package Heritage products accordinglyWork closely with Sales and Distribution Department, supporting implementation of strategic plans for entry into new markets.Work with stakeholders to determine business needs and priority and to ensure new products and enhancements are consistent with our business strategyResearching, analysing and ensuring regulatory compliance covering new and existing productsCo-ordinating and communicating changes in product plans. Supporting other marketing functions, agencies, and sales agents in plan rolloutsWork closely with all areas impacted by product plans to ensure achievement of consumer product objectivelyTo participate in Performance Management and Career Development of staff within the Department

Selection Criteria A minimum of a Business related degree from a recognized UniversityA Masters degree will be an added advantageA relevant professional qualification including ACII, ,CIM, a local diploma in insurance etcAt least Eight (8) years in a busy and relevant environmentAt least Five (5)years in a managerial positionBe a self-starter, highly motivated and a team playerBe creative and innovativeHave sound analytical and negotiation skillsShould have strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skillsMust be a good listener with excellent customer relation skillsMust be a good problem solver with strong decision making skillsAbility to plan, organize and prioritize (ability to work within strict deadlines)
