On-site Instructor - Python
We are looking for a qualified and experienced instructor to help teach an introductory course using the Python Programming language.
Our instructors are responsible for every aspect of the student-instructor relationship, which includes encouraging interactive learning skills as well as explaining specifics about a particular programming language.
On a daily basis our instructors spend a good percent of their time tailoring open-ended answers to student questions. We use standard grading criteria to evaluate each project, encourage students to go beyond the requirements and are always available to answer questions.
This position is a full time position that reports to the Course Manager.
Essential Functions:
Expert knowledge in either Python or PHP and MySQLAdvanced and creative written, verbal and presentation skillsDemonstrated ability to take a different approach to educationThe ability to work independently.Four-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area of study, or a combination of relevant education and experience. Additional relevant certifications a plus.2+ years experience in software or web application development.2+ year experience as a mentor or trainer.2+ years experience with Python or PHP; additionally, knowledge of SQL, HTML, C or other relevant programming languages is a great advantage
