Demonstrated excellent performance of work within the department.Responsible for the overall performance of the Production, Packaging and Whey Departments while focusing on Cost, Quality, Safety and Employee Environment.Provide leadership, direction, and guidance to production and packaging personnel and supervisory team. Develop supervisory team skills and abilities to support the plant.Develop and improve the manufacturing processes with the assistance of Tech Services and the Plant Manager.Monitor and control departmental costs in comparison with budgetary objectives.Organize and plan daily/weekly production schedules.Communicate with all employees to coordinate operations.Schedule the optimum amount of supervisory coverage and ensure personnel coverage to meet the labor standards determined by the product schedule and budget. Provide supervisory coverage on different shifts as needed. Monitor and oversee the quality of the finished product by maintaining the equipment and facility in a sanitary condition.Trouble-shoot and lead problem-solving efforts through the facilitation of team meetings and on-the-floor leadership to effectively change systems and procedures through the process of continuous improvement.Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary.
