Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience)



  • Master’s degree in Library and Information Science or Records Management its equivalent from recognized institution.

  • 3 years’ experience in a comparable position

  • Must be computer literate


Responsibilities



  • Identify the key documents that need to be kept and those that should be safely disposed.

  • Sort and shelf documents.

  • Ensure proper storage and retrieval of records

  • Arrange and describe by date archival materials

  • Selection of records and photographs for permanent preservation

  • Maintenance of the register of documents.

  • Facilitate transfer of documents to archives.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
