Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience)



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science

  • Computer literacy.

  • 3 years’ experience in a comparable position


 Responsibilities



  • Supervise staff under them

  • Verify pro-forma invoices against order cards

  • Circulate published catalogues to departments

  • Supervise filing and updating of Library records

  • Undertake short loan reservations

  • Receive and record journals in card indexes

  • Assist in keying in of data into the computer

  • Clear library users

  • Undertake registrations of new Library users

  • Analyze library statistics

  • Educate Library users

  • Prepare draft report on library use statistics.

  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor
