Maua Methodist Hospital (MMH) is an institution of the Methodist Church in Kenya, established in 1928 by British Methodist Missionaries in obedience to the great commission of Christ (Matthew 28:19-20). From that humble and modest start, the hospital has grown to be a Regional Referral Hospital in Meru County, providing holistic services to a wide catchment area and offering training of health care workers. MMH has also become an important hub for community health and development services

Summary

Reporting to the Pharmacy Incharge, the holder of this position will glorify God by supporting the Pharmacist, work under his supervision and assist with preparing and dispensing medication to patients.

Qualifications, Experience, Competencies and Personal

Attributes Required:

• Diploma in Pharmaceutical Technologists or its relevance.


• Registered with the Pharmacy and poisons board


• Possess a valid private practicing License


• At least 1 year of pharmacy experience with an exemplary track record.


• Should have thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical sector as well as knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting the pharmaceutical sector


• Able to expedite orders, verifying receipt, remove outdated drugs and prepare ageing reports as often as possible


• Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols


• Must maintain patient confidentiality.


• Must be a flexible person, who is willing to learn and able to work flexible hours to achieve goals


• Must be capable of functioning effectively both as a team player


• Must demonstrate high integrity and ethical practice


• Should have ability to solve problems by applying relevant pharmaceutical knowledge


• Must have the ability to communicate for both written and oral communication


• Should be result oriented with ability to deliver desired outcome


• Committed Christians with evidence of maturity in faith


• Must have knowledge in use of MS office packages
