Location: Kenya - Nairobi
With one of the best GDPs in the region and a progressive political system, Kenyans have a lot to be proud of. But in the heart of the nation’s capital, human rights are being violated. Women and girls in Nairobi’s slums are living with the constant, abhorrent threat of rape. We aim to stop it. And so will you.
Leading the delivery of our Safe Slums for Women and Girls campaign project, campaigning and building capacity of rights holders to challenge violations, you’ll work closely with our partners on capacity building, mobilizing and ultimately empowering women in the community. You’ll draw on your knowledge of human
rights and gender equality, and put your experience of developing and coordinating strategy to good use.
You’ll make the most of your fluent English and Kiswahili and strong NGO background too. And, most importantly, you’ll help end gender discrimination in Kenya.
Applications should be addressed to the Director Amnesty International Kenya toinclude a cover letter, a detailed CV highlighting relevant skills and experience, details of current and expected salary, a daytime telephone contact, email address and the names of three professional referees.
Applications must be sent to amnestykenya@sections.amnesty.org by close of business Sunday, 6th February 2011.
Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
