Chemonics International, an international development consulting firm, seeks a Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Manager for a long-term position on an anticipated USAID-funded project supporting supply chain strengthening for the health sector in Kenya.
The project will provide assistance and support government entities in their efforts to become stronger, more efficient, more effective, and increasingly accountable.
The M&E Manager will guide the project team in developing strategies to report based on the implementation plan, the performance monitoring plan, and the annual work plan. The M&E Manager will also work in collaboration with government entities to further strengthen their inventory management and tracking systems’ M&E.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Public Administration or Applied Research (anthropology or sociology); Master’s Degree preferred;Minimum of five (5) years of experience with performance monitoring preferably in an international organization or government agency, preferably under USAID;Demonstrated knowledge of the government’s health commodities supply chain, its function and organization;Experience establishing an M&E system, i.e. developing data collection forms, indicator reference sheets, and performance monitoring plans.Strong knowledge of database management systems such as Access and Excel;Strong interpersonal skills and ability to administrate effective working relations with senior Government personnel, host country citizens, U.S. government organizations and donor partners;Ability to effectively analyze and resolve problems as they arise;Excellent oral communications skills to effectively present information and respond to questions;Detail-oriented;Exceptional writing skills to effectively edit/write reports and publications;Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team;Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines and effectively manage team members to deliver required documentation timelyIf you are interested in being considered, please send your CV and cover letter outlining your relevant work experience to KenyaRecruit@chemonics.com by February 11, 2011 with the subject line: ME MANAGER.
