An ISO 9000 certified and well-known fast growing construction company based in Nairobi is looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the candidate will be overall in charge of the steel fabrication section, design department and mechanical site installations.
The candidate should be a highly skilled manager with excellent technical knowledge.
His / her duties include: production management, supervision of design department, preparation of tenders, BOQ’s and budgets, supervision of mechanical site installations, maintenance, preparation and monitoring of schedules, procurement of materials, technical guidance, development of working methods, representation of management on all mechanical issues.
Candidate requirements
A degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute/universityRegistration with ERB is an added advantageExperience in the Petroleum Industry is an added advantage Experience in steel fabrication and welding methods is an advantageAt least 10 years of experienceAge between 40 – 45 years Excellent leadership abilities.Good written and oral communication skills with staff as well as clientsGood knowledge of relevant standards in the industryMust be computer literate and familiar with Autocad, MS Project, and Excel.High developed analytical abilitiesHave working knowledge of with costing, budgeting, tendering and preparation of BOQ’sWell familiar with production planning and controlWell familiar with project planning and control.Ability to manage a busy working environment involving about 150 people.If you are qualified and up to the challenge, please send your resume and day time contact to kenyanrecruiter@gmail.com clearly stating the job position in the subject.
