His/her duties include:
Processing financial transactions for programme and administrative purposesFinancial accounting for programme and administrative expenditure, including all bank and balance sheet reconciliationsProcessing of monthly payrollAssist in preparation of financial reportsMaintenance of filing system for financial records and documentsCommunity book keeping and development of accounting systemsFacilitating community audits through trainingFollow up on community accounting for funds disbursed to communitiesQualifications, skills and experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related fieldsRecognized professional certificates such as CPA(K), ACCA (Part qualification - Part II)Demonstrated experience in financial accounting functions for nonprofit organizationsGood IT skills and working knowledge of QuickBooksKnowledge of donor funding rules & regulations, financial reporting and disclosure requirementsInterpersonal, teamwork and communication skillsAbility to provide technical support and training to Programme staff and community groupsTwo years experience in a similar or related position with a local or international non-governmental organizationGood knowledge of micro finance industry trends and practiceInterested candidates who satisfy the above requirements should forward their applications on or before 8th July, 2011 to:
