We are seeking suitable persons to fill the following positions.
All candidates require technical competencies in the respective areas a commitment to work with and support faith based partners of CRS many of whom are Catholic institutions.
Position Title: Program Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation
Ref: 2011/25
Location: Nairobi with regular travel to the field.
Purpose: To support the database management and monitoring and oversee evaluation activities of the CRS SAIDIA Program, demonstrating country program and projects indicators, outcomes and impact.
Undertake the overall coordination of monitoring, evaluation and documentation functions for the SAIDIA Program, focusing specifically on monitoring, data management, management of information systems that support monitoring, quality assurance and project results documentation.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Bachelors’ degree in Public Health, Demography , Sociology, Statistics or a related field. A masters degree would be an added advantageKnowledge of SPSS, Excel, Epi Info, KePMS, MIS, Ms Access qualitative data analysis software is a must.Three years experience in M & E or Strategic Information development in a PEPFAR funded health intervention program.Good understanding of public health issues particularly HIV/AIDS and TB.Demonstrated knowledge of evaluation designs for HIV/AIDS and as well as knowledge in health programsExperience working in designing, preparing and conducting surveys, collecting and analyzing baseline data, and reporting.Ability to conduct epidemiologic and social science research, including questionnaire development data processing and data analysis.Ability to work well with others and to develop and maintain compatibility amongst all stakeholders.Excellent written and oral communication skills including writing donor reports.Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through informal and formal trainingsHigh integrity, good stewardship of resources and ability to promote learning.Written applications indicating the reference number of position applied for and CV including day-time contact phone numbers, as well as names and contact information of three references should reach the below-mentioned by August 28, 2011.
