HSE Superintendent - Kenya

The Company:
Our Client is a Global Operator in the Oil and Gas Industry.

The Role:
Job Purpose:

To monitor and supervise the implementation of our client's policies and procedures on all field operations sites for drilling and related activities such as site civil preparation, rig/camp moves.

To provide advice, support ad training in the development and implementation of operational safety plans and procedures in compliance with our client's EH&S Management System. This includes a functional HSE authority/oversight over all activities in area of responsibilities.

Key Objectives/ Responsibilities:

Support to implement the requirements of EH&S MS in compliance with our client's Oil Incident Management System in drilling and civil operations, and generating interface EH&S bridging document with principle drilling contractor;
Provide technical advice and support in relation to the development, implementation and monitoring of EH&S plans and procedures;
Advise on issues of compliance to our client's EH&S policies and local regulatory EH&S requirements industrial best practices. Carries out monitoring, inspection, reporting and resolving audit issues in this regard.
Implement risk management procedure in respective operations, monitor PTW, JSA and maintain risk registers;
Advice site management in the notification and investigation of incidents and making corrective action plans.
Active monitoring and periodic reporting on HSE activities and HSE performance indicators both for our client and Contractor activities.
Provide HS functional skills coaching to Trainee Field EH&S Advisors in coordination with Field EH&S Superintendents.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Graduation degree in science subjects
Core level of EHS qualifications such as NEBOSH international/national certificate

Skills:
Proven experience of managing HSE in a corporate operational environment with high HSE standards
Preferably oil and gas operations HSE experience
Knowledge of Identification & Control measures of operational risks/hazards
Can deliver basic EH&S trainings
Good level of computer skills
Identification & Control measures of operational risks/hazards in EP sites Lifting equipment, working at heights, plant isolation/PTW systems, Road/Air/sea transport safety, Chemicals, PPE, ER systems/equipment, Fire Protection, Office safety procedures, Welding safety, etc
