They specialize in providing essential automotive products and services to economies in transition, and work alongside the development community in emerging and post-conflict markets to provide transport and fleet solutions.They have earned a reputation in the Asia-Pacific region, and across Central Europe, as the fleet manager’s provider-of-choice for purpose-built vehicles and fleets, and are looking to expand operations into Sub-Sahara Africa, from a base in Nairobi.
Role overview:
Responsible for:
Sales of all company products and services in their designated region, which includes:Wholesales to dealers (managed markets)Modifications & ship-through sales to non-managed marketsAid &Development, and Fleet salesPlanning, forecasting and reporting on sales in the regionContributing to marketing plans for the region and implementing those plansActing as “eyes and ears” for their RBM in the regionAchieve sales targets for products within the designated regionSubmit management reports and forecasts, as agreed with the RBM, on time and to the expected standardIdentify prospects for the development of modified products & other company products/services across the designated regionRoles and Key Responsibilities:In conjunction with the RBM, develop strategies for improved sales & market penetration within each country in the designated regionImplement the sales and marketing strategiesProvide management information to the RBM on market dynamics including competition, general business performance, co-operation and/or partnership opportunities within the regionReview market and customer needs, and thereby assist the RBM in setting price schedules, and discount ratesPrepare sales reports and forecasts as defined by the RBM, both for the manufacturer and the companyCo-operate with the Fleet Sales Manager to maximise sales opportunities in the region including Government, Fleet and Modified vehiclesEnsure that customer databases in the designated region’s sales outlets are up to date and that the customer prospecting and follow-up systems are operational with proper reporting back systemsPropose the right level of production/stock for each country in the region, and manage stock levels at the company and in dealersIt is Company Policy that individuals are as flexible in their work as possible; therefore, employees are expected to perform any other duties as reasonably instructed to do so by their immediate Line Manager.Qualifications
Higher National Diploma or equivalent in Sales & MarketingA minimum of tenyears’ experiencein automotive sales with a credible motor dealer in AfricaMust be willing to travel extensively.Must possess excellent verbaland written English commandMust have an extremely keen eye for detail and quality. Must possess good IT skills.Must have a ‘hands on’, practical mentality, be self-driven and very motivatedMust be able to analyse customer needs, define specifications needed and translate this into firm quotationsPossess a ‘think out of the box’ mentality and have good situational awareness skills.Must possess excellent organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and interpersonal skills.Must be a Kenyan CitizenExcellent references are essential.Renumeration and BenefitsThe Manager will be provided with:
