Coffee Board Personal Secretary Job in Kenya


The Coffee Board of Kenya (CBK) is a State Corporation established under the Coffee Act No. 9 of 2001.
The Board is a non- Profit, Regulatory & Service oriented, Corporate body under the Ministry of Agriculture & is charged with the responsibility of promoting competitiveness in the Coffee Industry, Production, Processing and Branding of Kenyan Coffee and generally to regulate the Coffee Industry in the Public interest.
The Board wishes to fill the following vacant position with a dynamic, results-oriented and self driven individualScale CBK, 8- REF. CBK/PS/01/11/2012
a.) Duties and Responsibilities
The officer will be deployed in the Managing Directors’ office and will report to the Executive Secretary. The officer will be responsible for:Attending to visitors/clients, handling telephone calls, emails and appointmentsAssisting in effective management of office protocol, Public Relations and media issuesEnsuhng secunty & Confidentiality of office records and documentsMaintaining Confidential Records and filingOperating and managing office equipment in their custodyDrafting letters and typing from draftsUndertaking any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.b.) Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this position, the applicant must:Have a Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies, Business and Office Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and/or a Higher National Diploma in Secretarial StudiesHave served in the grade of Personal Secretary or any other relevant & comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) yearsHave the following qualifications from Kenya National Examination Council: - Shorthand III (100-120wpm), Typewriting III (59wpm)/Computerized document processing III, Office Management III, Business English III/Communications II, Secretarial duties II and Commerce IIHave demonstrated professional competence in management of secretarial services and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.Have attended a Management Skills courseBe fluent in English and KiswahiliHave a Certificate in computer ApplicationsHave good temperamentBe a team playerInterested and suitably qualified candidates should send their applications quoting the reference number on the envelope, accompanied by a detailed CV with three (3) referees and daytime telephone contacts, copies of Academic and Professional certificates & testimonials.
