Our esteemed client is a medium sized diversified group into bakery, textiles, floriculture and banking. They have their presence in Kenya with customer base spread mainly in East Africa. They are a professionally managed group with a team size of around 400 people.
Job Description
Desired Candidate Profile :-Key Qualifications and Competencies
The candidate aspiring for the post of Chief Executive Officer shall have a minimum graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics or other related field from an accredited University. MBA qualification would be an added advantage.
At least 15 years relevant work experience, 5 years of which must be at senior level in a large organization preferably in a textile industry with full value chain i.e. spinning, fabric and apparel manufacture.
Understanding of the global textile industry and its dynamics
Proficiency in computer packages
Knowledge of lean manufacturing/Kaizen to ensure cost /process benefits for global competitiveness to become a world class organisation
Knowledge and skills
Financial Management
Project management and evaluation
Policy development and formulation
Excellent people management and empowerment skills

Job Description :-
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer, will be the Accounting Officer and Secretary to the Board, and will be responsible for the following:
To provide visionary leadership and direction to the organization and to ensure that the Company’s mandates and policies are implemented fully and effectively in line with the strategic plan.
To formulate strategies and business plans and to lead teams for high performance and innovation.
To provide leadership by example
To ensure prudent management of resources for the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives in line with its business plan.
To ensure that Company’s staff remains motivated to discharge their responsibilities effectively and efficiently, and in compliance with best practices.
To promote a culture of compliance with regulations, statutory requirements, good corporate governance principles and best practices in the Company.
To perform any other responsibilities as determined and deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.
